La traducción escrita en los servicios públicos españoles: clasificación de materiales disponibles online y traducidos al rumano

Abstract

RESUMEN: El objetivo de este artículo es exponer los resultados de un estudio empírico realizado sobre un amplio corpus de traducciones del castellano, catalán, vasco y gallego al rumano disponibles online y pertenecientes a distintos ámbitos de especialidad dentro de los servicios públicos españoles. A través de un análisis descriptivo, se ha querido responder a las siguientes preguntas: ¿Qué instituciones son las principales productoras de dichos textos?, ¿con qué finalidad se traducen?, ¿en qué ámbitos se sitúan mayoritariamente?, ¿qué temáticas abordan?, ¿qué tipología textual y qué formatos son los más empleados? y, por último ¿a quién van dirigidos? En las conclusiones, se resaltará la emergencia de nuevos sujetos en la elaboración de materiales aparte de la Administración Pública, como pueden ser las universidades y los grupos de investigación, y se subrayará carencia de traducciones en el ámbito jurídico, sobre todo en comparación con otros ámbitos.

ABSTRACT: The aim of this paper is to present the results of an empirical study based on a wide corpus of online available translations from Casti lian, Catalan, Basque and Galician into Romanian belonging to different specialized areas of public services in Spain. Relying on the method of descriptive analysis, we have tried to answer the following questions: What are the institutions that produce these texts? What is the purpose they aim at? What are the areas of public services dealing with? What subjects do they address? What is the most used text type and format? And finally, what is the target group? In conclusion, it will be articulated that beyond Public Administration there is increasing evidence of new bodies that are offering this kind of translations such as universities and research groups, and the lack of legal translations, especially compared with other areas of public services, will be underlined.
