T11- Creative Space: a patrimonial rehabilitation based in self-production

The Hat Factory comprises a series of constructions initiated in the late 19th century in the historical city centre of Seville. Production there was increased throughout the 20th century. Abandoned since 2005, it remains a highly significant yet underutilised entity within the core of Seville, with almost 4000m² of surface area. T11 is a cooperative grown in Triana in 2013 focused on fostering craftsmanship and arts related to woodworking. In 2018, we moved into this high real estate speculation area. As we adapted the space using our own goods, were able to salvage a substantial portion of the original structure to organise T11 action in two rented sections. Meanwhile, the Factory has been revived as a crucial space within the neighbourhood, keeping into the manufacturing sector.
