From the volcanic eruption in La Palma
Abstract
It is in this urban eruption where initiatives such as the Emergency Geological Response Unit (URGE) of the Spanish Geological Survey (IGME - CSIC), gain relevance for their work to integrate science into emergency management.
It is on these occasions, when Geology, Quaternary Geology and studies on Geological Risks, become indispensable in the management of emergencies and mitigation of damages in natural catastrophes.
