Palinological analysis of the En Pardo Cave (Planes, Alicante) First results

Abstract

A study using the first results of different pollen analyses in En Pardo cave has been made. The fossil samples of the "profile A" of the cave stratigraphy contain Holocene Age samples, and perhaps, Late Glacial Age at the base. This profile shows an important development of Quercus sclerophylles forest during the Atlantic period. The palynofacies analysis complets this study with more interesting data.
