Abstract
The present paper analyses, based on 234 weather stations, the concentration of annual and monthly together with annual rainfall erosivity for the Valencia Region (Spain). In order to obtain spatial distributions geostatistical techniques have been applied to the original punctual data. Initially, the Oliver Precipitation Concentration Index (PCI) has been implemented for the annual interpretation. Using monthly rainfall and the estimated PCI indexes have been developed in order to obtain a more detailed information of the monthly rainfall concentration variability. Rainfall erosivity has been analysed by means of the Modified Fournier Index (MFI). Data analysis has been undertaken using Geographical Information Systems techniques.
