Caracterización de la brecha salarial en el turismo rural español: una comparativa con el entorno laboral turístico urbano
Abstract
El proceso de reorientación de la economía en el ámbito rural proporciona a las mujeres un papel clave en el desarrollo regional a través del turismo rural, pero persisten diferencias de género en su participación en el mercado laboral. El objetivo de esta investigación es el análisis de las condiciones laborales, en particular los salarios, en el sector del alojamiento turístico en áreas rurales en comparación con aquellas predominantemente urbanas para el caso de España, de cara a analizar los retos en cohesión social y territorial desde la perspectiva de género, utilizando la Muestra Continua de Vidas Laborales. Los resultados constatan la persistencia de peores condiciones y mayor brecha salarial para las mujeres en provincias predominantemente rurales.
