Los olivares de montaña en la provincia de Jaén y sus desafíos territoriales
Abstract
Las montañas andaluzas han encontrado en el cultivo del olivar un elemento fundamental de resistencia frente al abandono agrícola y demográfico, hasta el punto de que se ha producido una homogeneización del paisaje al desaparecer la estructura en mosaico propia de los policultivos. A pesar de ello, estos ámbitos siguen presentando importantes limitaciones y dificultades territoriales. Manejando información digital georreferenciada, nuestro trabajo ofrece un método para delimitar y caracterizar desde diferentes aspectos los olivares de montaña en la provincia de Jaén. Después se reflexiona sobre su sostenibilidad en el futuro más inmediato, reparando no obstante en la amplia gama de opciones que caben para la gestión de realidades que pueden llegar a ser muy contrastadas.
