Trabajadores del campo y familias de la tierra. Instantáneas de la desagrarización
Abstract
Durante el siglo XX las áreas rurales han experimentado importantes transformaciones socioeconómicas. El proceso de configuración de economías urbanas primero y de economías globalizadas después ha modificado sustantivamente el papel que las poblaciones rurales tienen en el seno de la sociedad global así como las formas de subsistencia de dichas poblaciones. El proceso dual de desagrarización del campo e industrialización agraria se interpreta dentro de la lógica de división regional del trabajo que imponen las cadenas globales de valor. En este contexto de economía-mundo se analiza el proceso de continua adaptación de las poblaciones y economías rurales. Mediante el seguimiento de series temporales demográficas, migratorias, y ocupacionales se exploran los cambios en las estructuras productivas y sociales de España desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Se concluye mostrando una estrecha vinculación entre orientaciones productivas y composición sociodemográfica.
