Los problemas de la planificación y el desarrollo territorial en la comarca de Tabernas (Almería)
Abstract
Las comarcas rurales y los espacios de montaña de Andalucía se han confirmado en las últimas décadas como áreas desfavorecidas dentro de la región, fuertemente dependientes de otras más pujantes –áreas metropolitanas y litoral–, y que en algunos casos aparecen como sistemas territoriales desarticulados y en serio riesgo de desaparición por despoblamiento. En este trabajo abordamos las problemáticas que afectan a la comarca de Tabernas (Almería, SE de España), su configuración y dinámica territorial reciente a la luz del impacto de las propuestas planificadoras implementadas en la comunidad autónoma andaluza en las últimas décadas. Este proceso constituye un caso de estudio válido sobre el que reflexionar, críticamente, acerca de las posibilidades que ofrece la planificación territorial para la salvaguarda patrimonial y la reactivación socioeconómica en territorios con graves problemas estructurales.
