El asentamiento de los neorrurales extranjeros en La Alpujarra Granadina: un análisis desde su perspectiva
Abstract
En el presente estudio se analiza el proceso de asentamiento y la actividad cotidiana de los “neorrurales extranjeros” en La Alpujarra Granadina ubicada en el Macizo Bético, en la comunidad autónoma de Andalucía, en el sur de España, así como sus interacciones con la sociedad local y su relación con el sistema agrario y el desarrollo rural de la comarca. Tras la realización de entrevistas directas a informantes clave (Agentes de Desarrollo Local, población local, etc.) y a neorrurales extranjeros en la zona se ha comprobado que, a pesar de las dificultades encontradas durante su proceso de asentamiento, los nuevos pobladores han alcanzado un elevado grado de integración en la sociedad alpujarreña. El estudio ha evidenciado, además, el importante papel que juegan los neorrurales extranjeros en el actual contexto socioeconómico de La Alpujarra, contribuyendo de forma positiva a su desarrollo sostenible.
