La política de concentraciones escolares en el medio rural. Repercusiones desde su implantación hasta la actualidad
Abstract
Este artículo expone los principales resultados obtenidos a partir de una investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa sobre los distintos actores educativos y su papel reciente en la escuela rural. Se trata de profundizar en las características de escuela en el medio rural de Castilla y León para conocer su situación actual. Analizamos la evolución que han seguido estas escuelas desde los años setenta –con especial atención a las concentraciones escolares– para llegar a una panorámica actual basada en aspectos como el equipamiento, los servicios de transporte y comedor y la desmitificación de falsas creencias tales como el déficit de recursos. Una de nuestras conclusiones es que los viejos debates sobre la escuela rural deben ser sustituidos por otros que tengan en cuenta la heterogeneidad en función de su tipología, del entorno sociodemográfico y de sus docentes. Estos últimos serán clave en el devenir de esta institución los próximos años.
