Women in rural tourism: a gender analysis of a Natural Park in north-western Andalusia, Spain (Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche)
Abstract
This paper analyzes the role of women in rural development, and in rural tourism in particular. This analysis is applied to a Natural Park in north-western Andalusia (Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche) by means of a questionnaire prepared for the owners of the tourist accommodations. This paper concludes that in the rural tourism the woman has an important role, but this economic activity can reproduce the feminine work.Downloads
