Latent class models in landscape valuation
Abstract
This paper is about the use of latent class models for landscape valuation due to changes in land use. Specifically, this paper is about the effects of a new ski resort in Gistaín Valley, Comarca de Sobrarbe (Huesca, Spain). A survey was carried out during the winter of 2006 both in Zaragoza city and to the residents in the valley area. We highlight here that the use of these models allows for greater and more detailed information on preferences structures on landscape and it reveals the effects of the heterogeneity of preferences in aggregation issues.Downloads
