Lower Aptian (Lower Cretaceous) nautilids from the Oliete subbassin, eastern Iberian Range (Teruel, Spain).

Abstract

The lower Aptian nautiloid fauna data from the Oliete subbassin (Teruel province) have been updated. By the study of new material collected by the authors and the revision of eight institutional and private collections, Nautilus lacerdae Vilanova, 1870 species has been revised, and a new genus, Josanautilus, erected to place it in the systematic. Heminautilus saxbii Morris, 1848 and a new species, Heminautilus tejeriensis, have been described.
