Resumen

Las imágenes esquemáticas funcionan como “destiladores” de las experiencias espaciales y temporales. Dichas experiencias destiladas, por su parte, constituyen lo que los lingüistas cognitivos consideran como la base para organizar el conocimiento y racionalización del mundo. Las imágenes esquemáticas, consideradas como esquemas organizativos y racionalizadotes constriñen también nuestra manera de pensar, y, muy a menudo, se transforman al traducirlas, junto al desplazamiento que se produce del espacio mental entre la lengua origen y la lengua meta. Al combinarlas las imágenes esquemáticas se transforma, por lo tanto la traducción también seria un fenómeno combinatorio. Palabras clave: imágenes esquemática, traducción, combinación. Abstract Image Schematic Account of Translation Bin WANG Image schemas behave as a “distillers” of spatial and temporal experiences. These distilled experiences, in turn, are what cognitive linguistics regards as the basis for organizing knowledge and reasoning about the world. Image schemata as organizing and reasoning patterns constrain our way of thinking as well, and they, more often than not, transforms in the process of translation with its mental spaceship moving from source language to target language. Image schema transforms in blending, so we translate in blending too. Key words: image schema; translation; blending.
