Sobre la historia de la traducción en España: algunos errores recientes

Resumen

El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar y describir los notables silencios y los importantes errores detectados en el libro titulado Translators through History. A pesar de que dicho volumen está llamado a ser un libro muy consultado y muy citado en los Estudios de Traducción, los errores que contiene son dignos de mención. A lo largo de este trabajo, presentaremos distintos tipos de errores que atienden principalmente al desconocimiento de grandes parcelas lingüísticas y geográficas, con el fin de justificar nuestra opinión al respecto. Despite the fact that this volume has came to be a very useful tool within the framework of Translation Studies, the errors that are contained in it, deserve mention. Throughout this article, we will present numerous examples of errors in order to justify the point of view we defend here.
