El procesamiento del texto como lenguaje natural

Resumen

La lingüística textual y los Estudios de Traducción nos han ofrecido un sinnúmero de taxonomías de textos. No obstante, ninguno de estos modelos ha planteado la necesidad de procesar los recursos lingüísticos de tal modo que cada uno de dichos tipos textuales se identificase como elemento icónico para una clase y, al mismo tiempo, reconociese las desviaciones posibles respecto a la norma de uso de dicho modelo en una instancia comunicativa. Es nuestro propósito, en el presente artículo, ofrecer un modelo empírico y de carácter funcional en el que el procesamiento del texto como instancia lingüística de orden máximo y de sus elementos lingüísticos argumente sobre el plano normativo de la lengua para descubrir comportamientos textuales en torno a las variables pragmática, semántica y formal. De este modo, será posible proponer modelos textuales que asuman a un tiempo estabilidad icónica y dinamismo en sus actuaciones comunicativas. FERNÁNDEZ ANTOLÍN Most of the models put forward by text linguistics have insisted on the concept of function as the one responsible for the communicative value of the text as a linguistic unit; hence, structural components have been regarded as constructing items for the prospective function of the text; yet, natural language processing has still to come up with a model portraying the text as an independent but, at the same time, complex unit. Our proposal, therefore, focuses on the concept of text as an integrated notion which is to display a wide number of parameters when regarded from a multifaceted perspective: pragmatic, semantic and formal. Accordingly, the semantic and formal components are to be scaled on the pragmatic dimension. Hence, the processing of the text as an instance of natural language will be represented and parameters marked in order to label human speech in semiotic, meaning and formal environments.
