A contragolpe: la negación de la Ilustración en Objects in This Mirror de Brian Dillon

En este artículo examinaré varios aspectos de la obra del escritor irlandés Brian Dillon para demostrar cómo, desde una perspectiva irlandesa, se vislumbra la relevancia vigente de una corriente de discurso crítico que entronca con el legado de la Ilustración. El artículo se centrará en la colección de ensayos publicada por Dillon en 2014 y titulada Objects in This Mirror, así como en su colección de 2017, Essayism, con el propósito de establecer algunas de las características claves de su proyecto artístico, mostrar su compatibilidad con el materialismo cultural de las principales figuras de la Escuela de Frankfurt y, finalmente, ilustrar la compatibilidad del trabajo de Dillon con los valores que sustentan el proyecto irlandés de Field Day que ha influido en los estudios irlandeses desde los años 1980.
