Abstract

Nowadays, the fashion industry is introducing simulation technologies into its workflow. However, the realism of the simulations is limited by the simulation models and their parameters. To maximize this realism it is necessary to determine the parameters of the simulation models according to the actual behavior of the different textiles. In this work we present a testing device to capture the flexural behavior of textile fabrics. The global estimation system that makes use of these data to determine the simulation parameters that minimize the differences between the real and the simulated behavior is also described. Key Words: Testing device; Characterization of Textile Fabrics; Simulation and Numerical Optimization.
