Abstract

Vibration measurements were realised to a Ruston TA 1750 turbine in-situ and at operation conditions, with accelerometers mounted in the case and directly in the bearing housing of the axial compressor due to a minor modification, in order to compare the values of amplitude and phase of the synchronous filtered vibration (1X) and determining their effect in the twoplanes balance procedure by the influence coefficients method. This rotor operates over its critical velocity, and is for this reason that it is considered flexible and must be balanced in site and to its operation conditions. The system response to unbalance depends on the dynamic characteristics of the rotor, its bearings and supports; and the vectors of the measured dynamic forces will be sensible to the location where they were taken, being able to present non-linearities on its response as they move away of the bearing.
