Abstract

Presently, one of the most important objectives of building sector is to provide housing users comfort. So, to monitor comfort parameters plays an important and essential role. However, monitoring process can be laborious and too much expensive. Because of this, in this work an easy and cheap temperature and relative humidity monitoring system has been developed. It is based on Arduino platform. This system has been used in an inner house in Madrid, and the data obtained from it has been compared to data from a commercial thermohygrometer, which is more expensive than the based –on-Arduino system. This way, this system reliabilty has been checked. Furthermore, both temperature and relative humidity data are within the normative comfort values.
