Abstract

Polished lithic tools, from different archeological sites of Atlantic Band of Cádiz are studied (mineralogical, petrological and archeological characterization). We analyze the redistribution phenomenon from the IV to II millennium b.C. social formations in the zone. Material distribution source areas and the relatioships with the geological characteristics of the studied area are stablished. The autoctonous or aloctonous character of many lithic materials are established. We make a first statistic approximation to the relation between lithology and tool tipology, and from this to work process present in these communities.
