Associação da prática de atividade física semanal com bullying e cyberbullying em meninos e meninas de 10 a 16 anos

Resumo

O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar a associação da prática de atividade física (AF) com o bullying e o cyberbullying. Participaram 1.152 estudantes espanhóis (50,9% meninas) entre 10 e 16 anos (13,24 ± 1,78). A associação entre as variáveis ​​foi realizada por meio de análise de covariância (ANCOVA). Essa análise foi desenvolvida separadamente para meninos e meninas e ajustada por idade, índice de massa corporal, escolaridade da mãe e repetência escolar. Os resultados mostraram que não existem diferenças estatisticamente significativas na vitimização por bullying em adolescentes no que diz respeito ao seu nível de prática semanal de AF (p>0,05). No entanto, os meninos fisicamente ativos (pelo menos uma hora de AFMV ≥ cinco dias/semana) apresentaram maior nível de agressão por bullying em comparação aos meninos inativos (p=0,012; d = 0,218). Relativamente ao cyberbullying, os resultados da vitimização e da agressão em função do nível de AF semanal não parecem afetar as raparigas (todas p > 0,05), no entanto, os estudantes fisicamente ativos apresentaram níveis mais baixos de vitimização (p=0,017; d=0,217). e agressão (p=0,060; d=0,468). Os resultados sugerem a necessidade de conceber intervenções educativas multifacetadas que promovam tanto a prática de AF, como a proteção contra a vitimização no ciberbullying e intervenção psicológica que vise a reeducação dos efeitos da agressão associada à sua prática.
