Efeitos da sauna infravermelha, da sauna tradicional e da imersão em água quente na recuperação acelerada do exercício e na prevenção de danos celulares: um estudo experimental

Resumo

Os objetivos deste estudo foram investigar os efeitos da sauna infravermelha de sessão única, sauna tradicional, imersão em água quente e recuperação passiva da fadiga e danos às células musculares em atletas e não atletas. Participaram deste estudo oito atletas de badminton do sexo masculino e oito não atletas do sexo masculino. Os participantes do estudo foram tratados com atividade física submáxima avaliada por meio de um ergômetro e depois recuperados com diferentes modalidades. Cada tratamento foi separado por um período de descanso de uma semana usando um desenho cruzado randomizado. As modalidades de recuperação com sauna infravermelha (IRS) foram 45±2°C, sauna tradicional (TRS) 40±2°C, imersão em água quente (IRM) 40±2°C e recuperação passiva (PAS) por 20 minutos. Lactato sanguíneo, creatina quinase, glicemia, frequência cardíaca, temperatura corporal e nível de dor foram avaliados imediatamente após a atividade física (pré), após a recuperação (pós) e após 40 minutos sentado (pós-40min). Nossos resultados indicaram que o IAM e o SRI foram eficazes na redução da fadiga em atletas e não atletas. Além disso, PAS e TRS preveniram danos musculares em não atletas após 60 minutos de atividade física. Todas as modalidades térmicas reduziram o BGL. A menor dor foi registrada durante a modalidade ETR, enquanto a modalidade PAS tendeu a causar dor intensa. As medidas de temperatura corporal não foram significativamente diferentes entre as modalidades. De acordo com os nossos dados, a Primeira Guerra Mundial é mais eficaz no aumento da recuperação e na prevenção de danos às células musculares em atletas. Por outro lado, o IRS e o TRS são mais eficazes para a recuperação em não atletas. É necessário realizar mais investigação com diferentes sujeitos desportivos, diferentes tipos de exercício, diferentes biomarcadores e testes de desempenho físico.
