Material y método: el estudio corresponde a un diseño no experimental de corte transversal de alcance descriptivo. Las unidades de análisis comprenden todos los programas deportivos destinados a personas con discapacidad de las bases de datos otorgadas por el Instituto Nacional de Deportes, la Dirección de Desarrollo Comunitario y el Servicio Nacional de Discapacidad y sus participantes correspondientes al año 2019 a nivel regional. Resultados: se reportan 14 programas deportivos activos que consideran una participación de 275 personas con discapacidad, donde el 26,8% corresponde a hombres y 73,1% a mujeres. A nivel regional, el tipo de programa con mayor presencia es el deportivo-recreativo con un 71,4%, mientras que los programas deportivo-competitivo y deportivo-recreativos se presentan en un 14,3%, en las 3 provincias de Ñuble (Diguillín, Punilla e Itata). Conclusión: se visualiza una centralización en los programas concentrados en la provincia de Diguillín, comuna de Chillán. La mayoría de ellos pertenecen a organizaciones municipales con un enfoque deportivo-recreativo con mayor prevalencia de participantes mujeres.</p> <p><strong>Palabras claves:</strong> discapacidad, deporte, inclusión, participación.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Abstract: </strong>The Aim of the study was to characterize the sports programs for Persons with Disabilities and their participants in the Ñuble region. Material and method: the study corresponds to a non-experimental cross-sectional design with a descriptive scope. The units of analysis includes all the sports programs aimed at PcD from the databases provided by the National Sports Institute, the Community Development Directorate and the National Disability Service and their corresponding participants year 2019 at the regional level. Results: 14 active sports programs are reported that consider a participation of 275 People with disabilities, where 26,8% correspond to men and 73,1% to women. At the regional level, the type of program with the greatest presence is sports-recreational with 71,4%, while sports-competitive and sports-recreational programs are presented in 14,3%, in the 3 provinces of Ñuble (Diguillín, Punilla and Itata).
