¿La pausa de recuperación entre repeticiones influye en el desarrollo de la fuerza dinámica máxima en halterofilia? Evidencia empírica del clúster

Introducción: La configuración de la serie en el entrenamiento de la fuerza es clave para optimizar las adaptaciones crónicas.
Objetivo: Comparar el efecto de la configuración de serie, clúster y tradicional, sobre la fuerza dinámica máxima en halterofilia.
Metodología: Se utilizó un diseño cuasiexperimental. Nueve deportistas de nivel Tier 3 participaron en el estudio (edad: 15.4 ± 0.9 años, masa corporal: 61.4 ± 10.9 kg, estatura: 163.9 ± 10.4 cm; pico de crecimiento: -0.41 ± 0.44 años). Los participantes estuvieron adheridos al grupo experimental o al grupo control y recibieron una intervención de cuatro semanas. El grupo experimental realizó la configuración clúster (pausa intraserie [30 segundos]), mientras que el grupo control utilizó la configuración tradicional (sin pausa intraserie [0 segundos]). La fuerza dinámica máxima se midió mediante la repetición máxima en los ejercicios de arranque, sentadilla, y press en banco.
Resultados: Se encontró una interacción significativa entre el tiempo (pretest y post-test) y el grupo (experimental vs. control) en la sentadilla y el press en banco (p < 0.05); pero no en el arranque (p = 0.227). El grupo clúster mostró mejoras significativas en ambos ejercicios (p < 0.05). Los incrementos en la fuerza dinámica máxima variaron entre el 7% y el 8%; sin embargo, estas variaciones no superaron el cambio mínimo detectable. El tamaño del efecto fue grande (ES ≥ 0.14).
Conclusiones: El clúster demostró ser superior al tradicional en los movimientos de sentadilla y el press en banco induciendo mejoras en la fuerza dinámica máxima a corto plazo.
