Desigualdad social y prácticas saludables. Evolución de los hábitos alimentarios y de actividad física

Resumen

Este artículo analiza la evolución de los hábitos alimentarios y de la actividad física en España entre 2006 y 2017 a partir de tres olas de la Encuesta Nacional de Salud, con el objetivo de examinar la persistencia y la configuración de las desigualdades sociales en el seguimiento de prácticas saludables. Mediante modelos de regresión logística estimados por separado para cada año, se identifican los grupos sociales con mayor probabilidad de ajustarse a las recomendaciones sanitarias relativas a la alimentación y a la realización de actividad física en el tiempo libre. Los resultados muestran desigualdades sociales persistentes asociadas al sexo, la edad, el nivel educativo y la clase social. Estas diferencias son especialmente consistentes en el consumo de fruta y verduras y en la práctica de actividad física, mientras que en el consumo de carne y pescado presentan patrones menos estables y más sensibles a las decisiones de medición. La comparación entre olas sugiere que las desigualdades no se reducen en el periodo posterior a la crisis económica, sino que tienden a mantenerse o a reconfigurarse según el tipo de comportamiento analizado. En conjunto, los hallazgos subrayan la necesidad de que las políticas de salud pública tengan en cuenta estas desigualdades para promover un acceso más equitativo a prácticas saludables.
