¿Perdedores del feminismo? Hombres y mujeres que votan a Vox

Resumen

Este estudio examina el impacto de la globalización en el voto a los partidos de derecha radical populista (RWPP) desde una perspectiva de género, centrándose en el caso de Vox en España. A este respecto, hemos desarrollado la teoría de la Privación Posicional de Género (GPD) para identificar los factores económicos y culturales ligados al feminismo mainstream que influyen de manera diferenciada en el voto de hombres y mujeres, categorizados como “perdedores del feminismo”. El análisis utiliza modelos de regresión logística usando datos agregados de diez estudios postelectorales del Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS) de ámbito nacional y autonómico (2018-‍2023). Estos datos se han empleado para construir y comparar el desempeño electoral de cuatro perfiles hipotéticos de hombres y mujeres “perdedores del feminismo” con el perfil clásico de “perdedor de la globalización”. Los resultados sugieren que las amenazas económicas actúan como un motor más potente de movilización electoral que las amenazas socioculturales. Por un lado, nuestros hallazgos sustentan la teoría sobre la relación positiva entre los perdedores de la globalización y su voto a los RWPP. Por otro, la evidencia a favor de nuestra hipótesis sobre las consecuencias generizadas de las transformaciones económicas y culturales que han generado un nuevo régimen neoliberal de género es también fuerte. Así, este trabajo introduce la dimensión de género en el estudiodel voto a la derecha radical populista, abriendo nuevas líneas de investigación sobre las motivaciones generizadas del electorado de estas formaciones y sus implicaciones en las democracias contemporáneas.
