Resumen
La digitalización ha transformado las formas de ejercicio de la ciudadanía, aunque el aumento del acceso y de las competencias digitales no se traduce necesariamente en mayores niveles de participación ciudadana digital. Este estudio analiza el nivel de participación ciudadana digital de mujeres adultas y la influencia de variables sociodemográficas y contextuales en dicha participación. Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo mediante encuesta a 185 mujeres mayores de 18 años participantes en centros de capacitación digital de Cataluña, aplicando una escala de participación ciudadana digital que evalúa habilidades técnicas, enfoque crítico, conciencia local/global, acciones en red y activismo sociopolítico. Los resultados muestran un nivel medio de participación ciudadana digital, caracterizado por buenas habilidades técnicas y niveles relativamente elevados de conciencia social, pero bajos niveles de acciones en red y activismo sociopolítico. Los resultados evidencian una brecha entre competencias digitales y participación cívica y sugieren que la ciudadanía digital de las mujeres se configura como un proceso condicionado por factores educativos y contextuales, lo que subraya la necesidad de promover políticas de inclusión digital orientadas al desarrollo de la agencia y a una participación más equitativa y significativa.
