Laborismo, Likud y la colonización de los territorios ocupados: el fracaso de la paz.

La continuidad en las posiciones del laborismo y del Likud respecto a los territorios ocupados palestinos es la causa principal del fracaso del proceso de paz en Oriente Medio. Los avatares ocurridos en diez años de negociaciones, sus avances y sus retrocesos, no se comprenden con la crónica del proceso. Es necesario retroceder en el tiempo y analizar la evolución de los planteamientos de los sectores políticos mayoritarios israelíes ante el objetivo de la colonización judía de Cisjordania y Jerusalén Este, y ante el problema del control de la población palestina en los territorios ocupados. Sólo así se pueden entender las diferentes posiciones de los gobiernos de Tel Aviv ante la paz y su negativa a dar el único paso que puede cerrar el conflicto: la retirada de todos los territorios ocupados en junio de 1967.
