Abstract

This article examines the poetic and scribal activities of the sixteenthcentury poet and scribe William Forrest. Forrest’s works survive in a number of manuscripts that he prepared himself, some for presentation to specific individuals, some for less definable purposes. The article assesses his achievements as a scribe and manuscript producer over several decades.
