Virtuosismo, ortografía y numerología: traducción y análisis de un cuento de Kees van Kootende

El presente artículo se concentra en la traducción al español de un cuento neerlandés. La principal característica del cuento es su ortografía alternativa, según la cual, en ciertas palabras, cuando lo permite la ortografía, se introducen números. Nuestra traducción y análisis pretende ver si es posible hacer en español los mismos juegos de palabras y números que hace el original en neerlandés. Por último se ofrece una lista de locuciones españolas que contienen números, con el fin de ofrecer algunas propuestas para la traducción de futuros cuentos neerlandeses con similares juegos de palabras y números.

This article concentrates on the translation of a Dutch short story into Spanish. The main characteristic of the short story is its alternative ortography which introduces numbers in words according to their ortographic rules. The purpose of our translation and subsequent analysis is to find out if it is possible to produce similar games with words and numbers in Spanish. At the end, we also offer a list of Spanish expressions that include numbers, being the only purpose that of providing some ideas for the translation of possible future Dutch stories that may include similar games of words and numbers.
