Abstract

Certified quality management systems represent one of the most competitive strategies used in industry today. Its general use, has motivated the study of the different factors that take part in their implementation. Numerous studies approach this subject but without valuing the importance of each factor. This work is focused on determining the influence of each one of the factors during the implementation of certified QMS according to norm ISO 9000. Once collected the data in order to hierarchize them, Rasch´s model was adapted to the present study. We observed that the internal factors, such as having a good organizational structure and having clearly defined processes, were the most significant in the certification process. On the other hand, external type factors, such as customer pressure or the quality level of the competition, were less significant to improve the certification process .
