Resumen

ABSTRACT: Cost reduction and product quality are the main objectives of companies in order to be capable of expanding to new markets. Nowadays, environmental laws are more severe due to the increasing pollution problems. In this way, companies should deal with their main objectives of cost reduction and also with the idea of a green image, sustainability and innovation, focusing their processes towards the so-called “Green Manufacturing”. In this paper, oxygen-free copper machining process is studied and fully analysed, trying to achieve the concept of dry or near-to-dry machining. The correct lubrication system, the correct tool material and the process parameters optimization are the keys to achieve the optimum process. Keywords: Oxygen-free copper, Green Machining, Dry machining
