Resumen

Houthaven, antiguo puerto maderero de Ámsterdam,se ha transformado mediante un largo proceso de regeneración urbana. El masterplan ha incorporado estrategias de neutralidad climática, transición socio-energética participativa y resiliencia frente al cambio climático, junto a un diseño urbano que fomenta movilidad activa, contacto con el agua, la biodiversidad y los espacios de socialización, configurando un entorno propicio para estilos de vida sostenibles y saludables. En conjunto, el caso de Houthaven muestra cómo la planificación y el diseño urbano pueden actuar como instrumentos clave para integrar objetivos ambientales, sociales y de salud en el desarrollo de nuevos barrios urbanos.
